Mirillis Action! is a piece of software designed to record live video from your PC screen with tremendous quality. With this software, gamers can record their screen action as they play online or local games so they can later share that footage on social media. The software can also perform regional screen recording that allows you to set a smaller frame than the fullscreen default recording mode. You can also take screenshots, record music, and save videos found online. The UI is easy to learn and use, and the software boasts exceptionally high frame rates.
This software uses a central platform to perform the numerous functions that it has built-in. Its main function is screen recording, and you can set the software to automatically start recording whenever a video game is open or a web browser is playing a video. You can switch between screens without affecting the quality or the frame rate of either screen, and you can automatically stream your recorded content to connected devices or the web. With Action! LIVE streaming, you can connect directly to YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch.
Action! can produce video files of exceptional quality thanks the hardware accelerator that comes built-in. It has no trouble capturing 4K video at 60 FPS, and it exports into the MP4 video format. The advanced technology found in this suite will allow for smaller video files that have smoother, more detailed action.
Other similar screen recorders have one fairly major disadvantage against the Action! app, which is that the UI for Action! is supremely intuitive and easy to pick up. Apps like Gameshow that provide nearly the same utility are much more convoluted and unnecessarily confusing. Even if you have no idea what you're doing, you can use the power of the Action! app to do what you need. Basic functionality is included in a video manager that lets you upload, browse, share, or delete content.
If you have multiple files open at once, the layout will show you the recordings in the software. It will also provide you with the file size of the entire group of recordings. On the right side of the app, you'll see pieces of variable information like the frame rate, video size, and format. If you need to adjust these functions, you can do so manually. With the settings menu on the top right of the app screen, you can take advantage of other functions. If you want to add a voiceover commentary, personal logo, or webcam video to your recording, you can easily do so with this app.
Those who might think the software could still be overwhelming can take solace in the fact that there are dozens of tutorials available online to help you master the functions of the Action! app. Almost any question you have about the app can be found in those sources.

Mirillis-Action, also known as Action!, is a video capture tool optimised for use by gamers. Designed and released by Mirillis Ltd, the software makes it quick and easy to share and upload gameplay videos to friends, social media and even to YouTube.
The program boasts sleek black graphics that gives even the most amateurish videos a slick professional finish, and is intuitively easy to use with a little practise. Among the facilities are the ability to capture and stream live action gaming, record music and sounds, capture and stream web player videos, capture screenshots and even remotely access the PC. The latter features also enables player to access their PC games through an Android device, ideal for bored moments when out and about, away from the computer desk. Captured screenshots are saved as .jpg files to make them easier to share.
Videos can be enhanced with the addition of music or a personalised commentary using the PC's microphone. These sounds can be easily integrated into the video footage to create a complete and professional-looking piece of video. It is even possible to add-in slow motion highlights for dramatic or humorous effect.
The record facility is excellent, and capture continues, even if the player switches between screens or programs briefly, ensuring that every action-packed moment or high score is preserved for posterity.
Video capture can be translated to a multitude of formats, so that the video can be screened on a range of platforms and devices. Each piece of footage can be compressed for ease of transfer, unpacking smoothly and seamlessly once it has been uploaded or sent to a new viewer. Mirillis-Action not only optimises speed of transfer, it also uses power in an ergonomic and efficient way so as to not abuse resources.
The video captured can be, if the equipment is so geared, in full HD, up to and including 4K Ultra HD.
There are three different capture modes: Game, Desktop and Fragment, which are selectable with one click. Other settings such as video duration, frames per second and the size of the video amongst others (some optional, others mandatory) can then be chosen to customise the video to the desired specifications. Once the video recording is complete it, and the other recording that have been made, are visible on the left-hand side of the interface so they can easily be selected and sent to social media or uploaded to YouTube or other video channels.
